About Us
Welcome to The White Bear. It is situated in the heart of Birstall in Batley West Yorkshire and is over 350 years old. It is near Oakwell Hall which has strong links with the Bronte sisters. Rae and Dave have been at The White Bear for over four years and it has a friendly, warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Both Rae and Dave are BIG Rugby Union fans and have been linked to Morley Rugby Union Club for over 25 years! Their son has won 2 Blues with the Oxford Rugby Union Club.

The White Bear has something for everyone. Home cooked food is served lunchtimes and evenings and they do a traditional Sunday Roast. You can enjoy two main course meals for the price of one.
What's On
Friday night is when the entertainment starts featuring Live Artists with songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's. If you prefer things a little slower then Saturday night is the 'Free and Easy' night with John on his organ playing all your old favourites. Sunday night is Fun Karaoke night with Shelley and Ian.
Location
It is ideally located just five minutes from the Junction 27 off the M62. Dewsbury town centre is just five minutes away, Leeds and Bradford are just ten minutes away.
Other local attractions include the Showcase Cinema Complex and The Ikea Superstore.

It has a wide range of drinks available. Tetley's, Guinness, Carlsberg, Castlemaine XXXX, Stella Artoir, Guest Beers and Cask Ales for the real ale drinkers. There is also an extensive range of wines available for the connoisseur.

Bed and Breakfast is available at £17.50 per person per night. There are three twin rooms and each has a colour TV. There are also tea and coffee making facilities available. The price includes a full English breakfast.
There is a BIG screen so you can follow all your favourite sporting events and a dart board in the Tap Room.
The pub has ample car parking space and is accessible for people with wheel chairs.
